Title: Mike's version of sheperds pie
Post by: mike89 on February 02/22/21, 08:50:37 AM
1.5 gr beef
1 onion chopped
mixed veggies, 2 cans or up to 2 bags frozen
mushrooms, optional
garlic
1 can cr of mushroom soup
Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon
seasonings, salt pepper, etc.

cook onions and then add the gr beef, when that is done add other ingredients  until blended

I used cheesey julienne potatoes, prepare them as desired..

place meat mixture in 9 by 13 pan and then layer the taters on top..

bake in oven at 375 for about 30 minutes...

enjoy..

you can use broth and butter (1/2 stick) instead of soup.  use flour or corn starch to thicken

 Optional is the KEY word in that scenario IMO & most likely why mike put it on there.  :doah:                           ;) :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

That looks yummy mikey! :happy1: Oddly enough being a sheep & lamb producer I've only had shepherds pie once and that was at Kieran's in Mpls. It was decent but they almost messed it up by putting parsnips in it, one of the few things I'm not a huge fan of. I'll have to make a copy of your recipe. It would be great made with ground lamb too I bet.
