My brother and I were invited As part of the "Take a Vet Fishing" to fish on Mille Lacs this past weekend. We went out on a launch on Saturday and a friend who signed up to be a guide took me out on Sunday. Saturday was fun. I did manage to land a nice walleye and my brother caught a 19 1/2 inch smallmouth.
On Sunday I went with my friend and my brother went with his friend. The lake was very angry as we made our way out a couple miles into a fairly strong wind. Undeterred by the 4-5 foot rollers we fished for about 4 hours. My brother caught 6 walleye and I only got one bite.
