For anyone interested.....The Gophers Volleyball Team has reached the Sweet 16.
They are ranked number 8 in the country and have been in the top 10 all season.
They play Ohio State on Thursday at 11:00 AM on ESPN 2. They split with Ohio State during the season. Each winning on the other's floor.

At least the Gophers can compete against Ohio State in something. :doah:
Sorry. :embarrassed:
Thanks for the post, Ken. I know it ain't all about Football, Basketball, and Hockey.

The Gophers have one of the best Volleyball Teams in the country. And the Most Valuable Player in the Big 10 in Taylor Landfair. She is a 6'7" sophmore and can really hammer it down.
I basically learned to follow volleyball because one of my daughters was North Dakota Miss Volleyball when she was a senior and a 4 year starter at Moorhead State. She is a head coach at one of the Moorhead High Schools. My granddaughters all play volleyball.

Thanks, Ken. I can be too negative sometimes. I liked to follow more Gopher sports when my graduation wasn't so far in my rear view mirror. I remember when they had pretty good wrestling and baseball teams.

I just thought I would mention this because if you haven't ever seen a college volleyball game, you would be amazed at how athletic these women are. I wouldn't want to be on the other side of the net when Landsfair goes for a kill.

Power volleyball is awesome. I love watching all fake sets, hammer kills, and the balls they are able to dig are incredible.

Too bad. I hope they can keep the program going without MuCutcheon as coach.
I thought it was cool when he was coaching the US Olympic team. Hard guy to replace.
