So I have a 9 year old boy that I've been mentoring on my trapline. He spotted an otter behind his house and wanted to catch it. I let him make all the choices. He was worried about his neighbors cat so he decided on his live trap. His bait choice was a carrot because that's what we use for muskrat. I was pretty sure it wouldn't work but that is how you learn. Well he showed this old dog a new trick.

Nice.
I wonder how your 330 Conibears would do if you tossed a 2 lb bag of carrots down the hole with them.

dakids,
That's really something, for a youngster to take such a youngster interest in the great outdoors. He is lucky to have someone like you to show him the ropes.
