Good Book

I have to mention a book that I read this winter. It's called The Old Man and the Boy. The author is Robert  Ruark. I'm wondering if anyone else has read this, or any of his stuff?

It's a collection of stories about the author growing up in the 30's in North or South Carolina - I forget which. It was written in the 1950's. His grandfather becomes his hunting and fishing mentor. And it's  about his journey to become accomplished in the outdoors - and all the lessons his grandfather teaches him. But it's really about his grandfathers lessons on becoming a man. It is a great book on parenting. Because it was written in the 50's it has non of the politically correct baggage that a book like that would probably have today. It is a great book for kids or adults. I sent a copy to my Dad to read and I gave my copy to the 11 year old next door to read. As soon as he's done with it I'll give it to my son - Wyofish - to read.
