Ice Fishing Techniques

Anyone have any oddball techniques for ice fishing that they would like to share.  I've heqard of people using gummies, lemon drops, etc to catch fish.  Also, now the fake weeds seem to be getting used more and more.  Just wondering if anyone had a bait or technique that they'vehad success with that they may want to share.

not sure how "odd" these are:

For pike, put a  "Fundog" hotdog on a quick strike rig under a tip-up.  Also have watched pike eat them using them as a spearing decoy--skip the relish though.

For panfish/perch use thawed out salad sized shrimp for the bait.

For panfish, a small chunk of a black power bait worm on a plain hook, --much cheaper than the power grubs.

mush/squash a minnow in to smitherines and smear the debris on the lure/line, the fish love it when the scales flicker off of the line/hook

Years ago 1988'ish I started to figure 8 the bait (the bobber) in the hole to get the sunfish to bite--still works. 

Tap the ice once in a while with an ice scoop, the curiosity of the gills/crappies will bring them to your hole-much like after drilling a hole does ( works best in 8-15 FOW)
