Cold weather, strong winds hampering fishing in the Ely area!

Sorry about not having filed any fishing reports lately, but the weather up until yeaterday has not been conducive for fishing.

I've been trying to get out every week, Monday thru Thursday, but only got 2 days during the last 3 weeks-too cold and windy, but got three days fishing in this week.

Have been getting some nice trout on Burntside. My fishing partner and I have 2 in the 12 pound range, and quite a few in the 7-9 area.

I'll try to get more consistent reports, but it will be slow with the spring thaw coming up.

Thanks for checking in with us and I can understand where your coming from given the raw conditions in your area this year. Even though those trout are few and far between it's very rewarding when the battle is going on. Spring is on the way even if don't seem like it. An honest report is a good report even if the fishing's not at it's peak.
