Tuesday 06/10/08 Report  :fishing:

Today's crew included Mr. President Jeff Berg of the Des Plaines Lunker Busters Club and his pal John. After spending 2 days fishing Lake Erie, the boys opted for a change of pace and hammered Geneva with me today. I decided to work an oldie but goodie spot that had been more oldie than goodie the last two years :doah:. As luck would have it today the area came back to life just as I was telling the guys what a great spot this used to be.

At first the action was spotty, but picked up rapidly and there was no need to move elsewhere. We had to work our way around and through the invading rock bass, but it was well worth it. The best smallie was a 21 inch female that was spawned out and came out of 23 ft. The fishing has picked up nicely just since yesterday. This was the first day of great weather in some time and the fish seemed to agree also. The West winds were about 20 to 25 mph and made boat control a challenge.

**The face of the water, in time, became a wonderful book - a book which told its mind to me without reserve, delivering its most cherished secrets as clearly as if it uttered them with a voice. And it was not a book to be read once and thrown aside, for it had a new story to tell every day.

See ya on the water, Lee
