I had an outing on Green last week with only a sporadic wind.  We managed to boat 2 dozen smallies , with the big at 3 pounds 6 ounces.  When the wind appeared the smallie bite improved like usual.  most of the smallies we caught were inside 10 feet of water.  Working some deeper structure didn't result in much at all so we abandoned that approach.

I think we caught more largies on this outing than all of mine in 2007.  Every weed clump held at least three buckets, none over 2 pounds, 4 ounces, with the most of eight largies in one larger clump.  Wind aided here as well, but not nearly as much as the smallies.  Many crankbaits and some soft plastics were key here with white being the most effective color.

I was out on Green a couple of weeks ago.  The kid, a dozen leeches, lone tree area, and watch the kid and smallies explode.
