I still wish the Vikes had landed him or would talk with the Jets to acquire him.

yeah, isn't it possible he goes to Tampa, then they trade him to us?  :whistling:

Isn't it just possible that he comes straight here. I know what the press says but do you believe everything you read? It would be too good to be true of he came here. I'm hoping......

problem?

If the Jets trade Farve to the Vikings they have to give up 3 first round draft picks.  But I wonder if they could trade him to another team and that team could trade him to the Vikings?

Who needs him?  Tarvaris should be good for 12 TDs this season, 1800 yards and 18 INTs.  Just sayin'.  I was high on him last year and he stunk for the most part (which was actually an improvement from the year before).

some of those interceptions were not jacksons fault, aint his fault if it hits the receiver right in the hands and he misses it and tips it to the defender, i know of that happening atleast 3 times. farve is a jet now all they had to give up was a 4th rounder to the pack. the pick will move to a 3rd rounder if he plays 50% of the snaps. it will move to a 2nd rounder if he plays 70% of the snaps and makes the playoffs. and it becomes a 1st rounder if he plays 80% of the snaps and they make the super bowl(highly unlikely) the jets will be releasing or trading chad pennington today before 4pm.

Tipped interception happen to hall of famers too.  I hope your enthusiasm for TJ is right.  I was optimistic about his year two (Last year) and it was okay at best (even with the off season work).  I hope his talent or hidden talent shines this year!  There are 32 starting NFL QBs on the planet and I hope he is really qualified for the job.  The Viking fans are way overdue!!!!!!!

Don't get your hopes up. Good QB's don't just become good, they are already good.

Tim, to play devil's advocate, the likes of Favre, Brady, Trent Green, Hasselbeck, Salisbury (lol), Marc Bulger, Derek Anderson and many other QBs I am missing would never have been heard of if it weren't for an injury or a 2nd or 3rd shot.  Granted, I agree without Moss, T.O. and Harrison as his receivers his stats will be average or below, but just sayin'.

great example here how good did moss make culepepper look? now he is making brady look good. its easy to look great when you have a sure handed receiver who will always come down with the ball

Sounds like someone has a serious man crush on TJ.... comparing TJ in the same line with Hall of Fame OB's is really       s  t  r  e t  c   h   i   n   g      it.  Maybe the Vikes will pick up Pengtington that would be an ungrade!  :rotflmao:

Again, devil's playing advocate.  The prior 3 years Moss made nobody look good.  His last year with Minnesota stunk and both with oakland even when healthy.  Last year was his 1st great year in the past 4.  Brady has put up respectible/great numbers with just average to subpar receivers his whole career until last year with Moss when it went crazy.

Pengtington.  Even if available, I just heard is was a possible backup anyway.  Might as well go with a proven QB like TJ huh?!  One hand full of crap calling the other hand full of crap smelly!

Yeah, hes just another back up, no different than the back up we have and we'd have to eat his salary to get another arm of the same ilk.... gotta go with TJ at least till he takes himself out of the running... I think he can only get better... remember, we didnt even have a REAL reciever for him to throw to last year, and we only added one good one and drafted another this year so ya cant even expect any miracles yet.... remember, even a proven QB is only as good as his line and his recievers. And his coaching staff... Im hoping they do alot more TE out of the backfeild stuff this year, being they didnt have a reciever last year, I have no clue why we didnt go that route last year, so Im still out with the jury on the coaching staff.  But hey, Ill give the staff the benifate of the dout still, all I gotta do is remember good ole Denny Green for a quick reality check. ;)

LOL thunder.   Denny 15-1 and missed the SB!  Ugg!!!!!!!!!!!!  I agree on the TE.  Look at every good team in the past sveral years except maybe NE or GB and they all utilize their TE often.  The Vikes haven't utilized a TE in years as a viable target.
