Anyone been deer hunting by Detroit Lakes?

Heading up this weekend and just wondering if anyone has seen activity?  I was out 3-4 weeks ago and didn't see squat except a marten.

i hunt around park rapids but thats as close as i get. no one on either land did the early doe season. but been seeing them out in the feilds alot in the morning.

Went out this morning in the north metro and sat from half hour before legal light until a little after eleven.  Saw some pheasants, turkeys, eagles, and then finally at 9:45 AM saw three deer across the swamp.  The only one that stood long enough for me to get my binos on was a 6 pointer.  It was an awesome morning out there too.  Cold, Crisp and dead calm for about the first 2 hours.  Not many scraps or rubs in that section of woods yet.

hello there, I hunt about 30 miles east of DL, activity of deer was slow the last couple weeks but I think the weather should be straightening out here and we should start seeing some movement, deer are sure running like crazy at night. I'll be out all weekend I guess then I can give you a good report! Good luck!

Well I went out Saturday most of the day and didn't see much until right at dark.  I had two does come out but by the time they got within range I couldn't see through the peep.  So they lived another day.  Nice weekend to be in the woods though.
