BEMIDJI - Bluewater Bait & Sports, Mark Cook, 1 mile north of the Hwy 2 & 71 Intersection, www.bluewater-bait.com (218-444-2248)
Muskie action has picked up around area lakes.  Reports are coming in of some 50?+ fish being caught.  As the water temps continue to cool down, the walleye action is starting to pick up. Using a jig and a minnow during the day and trolling crank baits at night, the walleyes seem to be stacked up. So when you find them, you should really be into them.  Lakes Bemidji, Cass and Plantagenet are three good lakes to try that the walleyes have been biting on.

BLACKDUCK - Timberline Sport & Tackle, Carl Adams, Junction of Hwy 71 and Blackduck Lake Rd. (218-835-4636)
The walleye fishing has picked up on Blackduck Lake with a jig and a minnow and also trolling crank baits.  Try Island and Gull Lake for walleyes too.  The panfish bite is still strong on area lakes.  And some reports of big pike being caught on Upper Red Lake
If a gun kills people then I can blame a pen for my misspells?
