Two words...FULL MOON!

The night bite on Minnewaska will be fantastic at this time.  There will be very good chances getting 25 inch plus fish and maybe even the 30 incher!  Last night with clear skies and the full moon coming...I could not stay at home any longer.  I hit the water but only caught 3 walleyes with the biggest being just over 19 inches.  Only one smally as well that tells me that the fish were either not up yet or being spooked.  I think they were being spooked as it was very calm out and was marking fish in 4 to 6 feet of water...telling me they were there but maybe scattering.  Will be heading out again very soon!  Maybe tonight?  Results have been released for the Warrior Boat Lake Minnewaska Fall Walleye Classic held on Minnewaska last weekend.  Top finishers were Mark Berle / Brian Berle with 7 walleyes for a total of 17.35 lbs.  With only one fish caught on the first day and sitting in 18th spot, they rallied to bring in first place and $21,000 in cash!  Not bad for two days of work!  They caught them on Reef Runner Rip Shads!  What can I say...that is my number one recommendation on Minnewaska all the time!  Visit www.fallwalleyeclassic.com for more info on the tournament.  Big sunnies all over on Minnewaska...just get to 10 to 16 feet for the really big ones.  I usually get a limit of nice sunnies as I pull my Reef Runners during the day for walleyes.  Big Pike...had a few people come in and say they caught 30 inchers.  A lot of smaller ones as well.  Bass all over!  We still have a good supply of Red Tails ($7 per doz. special) as well as shiners, suckers, fatheads, and all of the basics.
