It was a pretty slow weekend. All I saw was does and fawns. My brother shot a 10 pointer. The corn is still standing all around my property. I think they are all in the corn still.

Nice deer!

Hey have you ever tried walking through the corn perpendicular to the rows?  It's a great method for shooting deer in a standing corn field.  You walk crossways through the corn, stick your head through and peak into the next row.  Look both directions then step through to the next row.  Repeat.  If you get all the way across the field, walk down the row about 75 yards and make your way back through.  You can see the deer lying or standing quite a ways down the rows and usually you can shoot the deer standing or lying there cause if you're quiet enough you can see them before they see you.  It's kind of a fun method and I've gotten several nice deer that way hunting by myself.

Bummer!  Hopefully they'll get some of that corn out before the season's over.  Be nice if they would combine it while you were hunting and chase some of those deer out.  I wish you good luck if you guys are heading out again.
