I think Outdoors Again has kind of always been for sale for the right price.  Good place to go.  I have bought lots of stuff there.  Lucky Bait is empty and also for sale.  The owner died by going off a curve too fast on his bike.  I knew him well.  Steve was his name.  Then the wife tried to run the place and unfortunately she died of an overdose.  Sad story all around.  Steve really fixed the place up too.  Includes a rental cabin beside it.

I've been in there several times. Well stocked with a lot of outdoor gear & tackle. Tough place to make a living. Being a destination place (LOTW, Rainy River) I think most guys probably purchase tackle elsewhere and bring it with them.

Ummm think your source on ido is a bad source.   They are open.  As mentioned i think it's always been for sale for a price.

I hadn't heard about Steve or his wife.  Sold them thousands of jigs over the years.   Knew him before he opened his own shop.

I'll help you out with a bad rumor.  They are open today until 8:00 pm.  They currently have river mix and frozen shiners in stock.   And lots of jigs.

Dutchboy you are right.  Tough place to make a living.    Not a destination place.

I think they are confusing it with Lucky Bait.

Yup, what Barry said. Outdoors again is still open. It has been for sale for awhile now. A million is a bit steep for my blood. Nice place and lots to choose from. Plenty busy. Hmm, river mix in stock. May have to make a run over there for bait Friday.

Steve really did some major remodeling to the bait store and to the rental cabin.  Looks real nice now. I think they drilled a new well so they could deal with minnows better too.

A few years ago. ok a long time ago now,  I looked hard at buying that (Lucky's )  from was it Hans?   But could never get clean books from him....LOL    I remember stopping in there one early morning and woke up the woman running it...Tracy maybe?

Yes there was a guy running it for Hans when we moved up here.  Hans got mad and knocked Gary down so he quit.  Then this young girl Billy started working there.  Then Steve and his wife bought it.

Might have been before you moved up there.  That girl who i woke up didn't seem to like clothes much.  There were minnows all over the floor that morning and I rather enjoyed my coffee as I watched her pick up minnows.

Not having a reliable set of books is the only way a guy can stay in business in this tax hungry country.
