Anyone know a good source for free lake maps? I tried the mn dnr site and those maps are tough to read.

Agree with glock_22.  You have to either buy the books by the sections that oyu want or you gotta go and get a gps and a lakemasters chip

Lakemaster does offer Contour Pro Software for nearly 400 Minnesota lakes.  130 of those are high definition meaning they have 1 to 3 foot contours.  However this isn't free.  They sell it for $99.00 on their site

Free maps are hard to find. I did an extensive search at one point for a few jobs and found nothing except for the dnr maps. They will show you that shape of the lake, some depth info and usually public access but that is about it.

Free maps are gonna be hard to find outside of the DNR ones. I bought a smaller book a couple of years ago. I believe I saw it at Blue Ribbon Bait for $20. I would think other bait shops would have them. But it has the whole metro on it and the outskirts. Great little book and has helped me a lot.
Friends are like buttcheeks..........crap might separate them, but they come together in the end.
