I'll be heading up North this weekend with a couple guys trying to stick a few pike.    Who knows maybe angle a few perch as well!
All I wanna know is, are we going to be cramped?

Will be going up North this weekend on our annual spearing trip also Griz. Sounds like all the conditions are finally going to go our way and should make for some pretty good spearing.

Now just to keep everybody in line and who knows we might even catch a tiger by the tale. :P

Good Luck this weekend boys ;D

Well the annual trip got pushed back a week but I will be going out tommorrow. Also will be bringing a rookie with me. So I hope they are running. The lake I plan on going to will prolly be either be dead or just smoking. I have seen upwards of 35 fish a day when it's hot so I hope to get the greenhorn some action. If not there I still have plan B and C. Maybe he could have beginners luck and have a big piggy come in like a frieght train and make him think it'll pull the house down on top of him.  :o ;D ;D We'll see 8)

My bait is free so I can afford it. ;D ;D Heck if they were 50 cents I couldn't afford to go to this lake on a hot day as the fish are usually pretty aggressive.

Well they weren't as aggressive as I figured they might be. The first day we got 2 a piece and later in the evening one crappie, but they weren't biting. Then sat he got two and seen 4 others while I never seen a fish. Today we decided to go peasant hunting instead. I'll be going out tommorrow again though prolly a different lake.

He seemed to like it as he went and bought a speer and a decoy after his first day. Who'd a ever guessed that. ???

Oh saterday I did get a rat.

 DiscO DaveO

Even with his ice cleats he looked like he was trying to dance. The ice is like glass with not even a snowflake on it for traction.

Well for one thing all ur wieght is on the wrong foot. Can't throw a spear properly that way.

If you just havn't been seeing fish try ur nieghbors. Maybe they have a bigger lake. Prolly twice that size.

Where should I start?  You don't have a decoy, your spear isn't tied off, plus it is way too light in your dark house.

I was spearing up on Ruth this last weekend.  The fish were not in a good mood.  We were taking advantage of the new rod in a spear house law and trying to catch perch passerbyers and they had no interest at all.  We had one log come through the hole, on the bottom in 12 feet.  He was just passing by and gave our decoy no recognition.  I threw and completely missed.  I think I was a little rusty.
There's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore like an idiot

Griz this isnt good, I told him to go check the neighbors "pond" I told him there had been mermaids spotted there and they were protected, but legal to harvest if they had shed their tails. all I heard after that was the phone hit the floor and the door slam :-\
