Wondering if anyone is familiar with open water fishing in the Lake Pepin area? Just general area knowledge is what we are looking for, not your personal hot spots or tricks unless your willing to give them up..... :whistling:

A very good Walleye lake, but too busy for me.

Lets just say if you fall out of your boat, you will not drown, you'll just fall into another boat. :ROTFLMAO:

The mouth of pepin is usually the best here in a few weeks or when the ice starts melting off .

But isn't that the whole point of an outdoors site? Sharing information?  You don't need to give out GPS coordinates (if you do-let me know!  ;D )  just sharing general information is what it's all about.   :happy1:

good point, go to the dam in pool 4 , look for the wing dams  and drop a minnow and a jig in there and catch eyes . not a lot of traffic there . most of it is in the lake. have fun and enjoy .

I too have a bunch of friends in Lake City and have fished Pepin quite a few times(no expert by any means).  But we have always had better luck by the dam this time of year and down towards the lake after the spawn and into the summer.
