I am heading down to the Whitewater system this week and  I am wondering where to go.  Upper, Middle, Lower, Trout Run, Beaver, etc.

My dad hadn't been there in years. He spent lots of time down there in the late 60s

He said they closed off many of the jeep trails, which got you up in to the North Branch(I believe he called it)

He said he was so disappointed he just ate a sandwich and turned around and headed home.

Most likely a few runed it for the rest is to blame.

Not when he has diabetes and lost all but one toe on one of his feet.

 Ya, he's showing his age

Not to jack this thread anymore than I have already but listen to this

We had a cabin on a lake in Aitkin County for many years, back when we lived in Lakeville.

One of the cabin owners near by, we spent lots of time with. His kids where my age and hung out at our cabin all the time. We rode mini-bikes, fished, ate meals together.

Well, we now live very close to where our cabin was. This nieghborering cabin owners son(who spent so much time at our place) now owns the cabin.

My 74 year old father asked him if he minded if he fished off his dock during the week for sunny's and crappies.

Ready for this?

 He said yes he minded!!

He said he didn't want anybody on his dock because if they got hurt they could file a law suit against him.

Nice, telling a old man NO! you can't fish on my dock!

These are the same people, who I called and told them their cabin had been broke into. When launching my boat from the landing, I could see the front door standing open. The same people I sent home dishes, silverware, pots and pans for them to use when they got up to their broken into cabin, So they could eat meals and cook while they were here.

Whats happening to the world these days? people just don't seem to care about one another. Is it the pure greed that seems to be instilled into so many these day?

Gets my dander up just thinking about it again

 Thanks for letting me vent!

I can't even begin to comprehend that line of thinking.  Life is give-and-take.  Folks that keep takin', hmm, I just don't get.
That guy you mentioned sounds like a real gem. :P
