I took mine at Bill's Gun Shop and Range in Circle Pines.  Excellent course!  Metro Gun Club in Blaine also offers the course.  You should be able to do a search on the internet for a place near you.

Try this one, www.firearmsandliberty.com, they teach at quite a few Gander MTN locations plus also have a good deal to join the NRA for $10.00/less a year than normal membeships.

I went through this guy named Steve Holt phone number 218-349-5740. He travels around the state to do his classes. Cheapest I have found. I paid 125 for both MN and Utah.

Give John Caile a call 612-240-6080, you will not be disapointed.  He worked getting Minnesota's concealed carry law enacted.

April 4th is the next date for a class through metro gun and pawn in Richfield. It starts out at Braemar training facility to shoot . then clasroom is at the Ramada in Bloomington. One day only. cost = $75.00.  I may go to this one. Contact Metro to enlist.

Is that right they do the proficiency test first? Then the classroom.

I took it at bills years ago.

I also think if this class if taught right, it should be taken by all gun owners’ lots of good legal info. On the “what if” something ever happens and you do need to defend yourself. I will even go one-step further and say if you have a gun in the house. Every adult in that house should consider taking this class

I would recommed Bills in Circle Pines. I took the class there and was very happy. I like getting done in one night. I had friend that had went through more of a one on one setup it was a little cheaper, it took three nights and ended up shooting at Bills having to pay range fee on top of cost of the class. I think over all I came out head going to bills.

Couldn't agree more bowhunter.  I want my wife and daughters to take it too.   It teaches a lot about personal awareness which I think is very important.  Too many people wandering around oblivious to there surroundings making them easy marks as victims of crime.  I'd recommend it even if you don't plan to carry.

I looked to see where you are from but it wasn't in your profile. They have one in willmar every month if not couple weeks. Get hold of kyle at zero tolerance, think it's 90 bucks. For extra 25 can get utah and texas I think.

Training is recognized by several states including Florida for a permit to carry.  $90 for the class and Utah is another $25, but there are several options like New Hampshire and Pennsylvania that fit the needs of most and cost a lot less.
