With the walleye season less than a week away I thought it would be fun to see what everyones favorite early season walleye tactics would be.  Mine is by far the jig and minnow combination.  This is my go to in spring and again in fall.  I prefer shiners.  I plan on experimenting with some plastics this year if I get into a good bite.  This poll will run for 2 weeks.  Please feel free to add comments or alternative presentations.

I too am all jig and minnow in the spring and infact thru most of June also. There are a few times I will rig a leech, minnow or crawler. I am rethinking spring shiner thing, I was out looking for perch and only had crappie minnows. Caught four nice eyes on them on a short stretch of shore line. Point being I will have some fat heads also this year.
