So I'm thinking of hitting the river this Saturday with a buddy. Anyone else heading down to Evert's that would wanna meet up. Always fun to fish with others. I've heard really good reports about the bite being on now.

Sandmannd I might be heading over there but I am not for sure yet depends on if I feel like pulling the boat all the way there. It was so fun last Friday I didn't want to leave!

Yea PDOGG, I wanted to make that trip, but just couldn't get it done this year. Maybe next year I can make it. Let us see some pics when you get back.

KTapper, if you can make it, let me know. Maybe we could play bumper boats.

Yeah Ill let you know! bumper boats it fun! If I do go I'm not bringing the big boat, I will be in a 14' alumacraft with a 15hp merc. No sense pulling the big one the spot were we were catching fish and seeing pigs being caught was very close to the landing.

Anyone joining in out there? Good time to blow the cobwebs out of your boats.

Well is started out great!!  :happybounce: I went down there with the a buddy. We hit the water a little after 7 AM. Within ten minutes we each had a short sauger in the boat. Thinkig this was going to be a great day.

We had consistant bites, but it was all hit and runs.  :censored: Got a couple of white bass and a sheepy. Couldn't manage an eye or sauger. Finally we managed a decent keeper, nothing great, but at least on in the box.

Lots of bites on a jig and minnow, lindy with a crawler and also dark jig with plastic worm on it. Actually the keeper we caught was on the jig with plastic on it. Seemed pretty slow for many out there, didn't see a ton getting caught.

Still was an awesome day on the river, very nice outside and just great to be on the water.
