Nothing but net!  It’s been another fantastic opener on Lake of the Woods!  There were an incredible number of big fish caught yesterday.  Every group that I spoke to caught at least one Walleye over 25 inches, most groups had caught multiple Walleye from 25-32 inches long.  There was a tremendous number of eating size keepers caught yesterday.  Most anglers were able to sort throughout the day and end up with a limit of Walleye in whatever your favorite size for the frying pan is.

Yesterday Eric and I went out to get some pictures of the opener.  As you can see there were a number of boats in Four Mile Bay, as we trolled through there was no time that we did not see someone getting the net!  We trolled from the south end of the pack to the north and back.  We saw 5 fish caught 25 inches and bigger.  Here are some of pictures we took.  Unfortunately I don’t have room for them all, in that span of 10 minutes we took 73 pictures.

We still have openings for the summer and don’t forget to look at the luxury coach packages.  There are multiple options and basically you pay only $8.00 for your transportation to and from the lodge.  To sweeten the pot we even made it better if you have a group of 6 people, you get one free!  If you have been thinking about a trip to Lake of the Woods there is no better time.  The Lake is healthy and these are some incredible deals.

I was in 4 mile bay on opener and I would confirm that the fishing was amazing.  My 11 year old brother-in-law pulled a 28" and 28.5" about 20 minutes apart from each other.  We had our limit of eaters in less than 3 hours between the 5 of us.

You can't afford not to go fishing.
