Sure... I caught a 21 incher with my clients the other day in 23 FOW over soft bottom and it still had eggs in it....

I don't know the reason but I assume like many species Walleye sometimes go through the motions but don't actually leave any of there eggs...?

Glad to have you here Casey. I have never been on that piece of water before. But I soon will be. Is it worthwhile to spend the whole night out anchored for walleyes?

Welcome FishingVermilion.... You guide on one of my favorite lakes, I mostly have fished the northern half of Vermilion... Wakemup and Mocassin Point areas and others, also Trout Lake and other lakes near there in the BWCA....  I envy you and your job! :bow: :happy1: Again, welcome to MNO!

I have never found it to be a very productive night lake for Walleyes... It can be good at times for a hour or 2 after sunset.. and you might snag one in the Winter if you sit out all night.

Hey Casey,
We are all happy to see you on the Vermilion forum.  Casey is a top notch guide and I am happy to say he is a friend of mine.  He isn't as good looking as me, but he is a fellow member of the "Lake Vermilion guides league".

Casey is also a certified Minkota repair tech, so if any of you area guys need any work done on your Minkota trolling motors, Casey is the guy to see for those repairs.  You can find him at the Fuel and Food in Tower.

Welcome aboard Casey! ::welcome::
