Phenomenal would be the word of choice when describing the fishing and the weather this past week!  We are mostly pulling plugs right now, but still doing some bait fishing.  The bait fishing is at times incredible but also works on your patience throughout the day.  The crankbaits on the other hand will test your stamina.

Big Walleye and limits of 18-19 inchers are being caught while down rigging all along the south shore in 28-34 feet of water.  It seems that these fish are mostly feeding on small perch and tulibee.  While bait fishing, it seems that working around some of the reefs has been more productive than other areas.

We show highs in the Upper 70’s for this week but not as steady of a weather pattern as this past week.  The water temp in the river has been holding at 65 now for awhile.  We are getting the minnow equipment ready and have noticed others are already looking for shiners.

The hunt club is open but the cooler weather is needed to work the dogs.
