I was just looking up some parts on Napa's website and saw a link to this. Have any of you other car guys/gals heard of this bill? Any thoughts on it?

interesting.... me and a few of my buddies brought this up before the general public could buy/rent diagnostic devices.... dealers had the upper hand for a while.... yeah that is a great idea... Id like to be a fly on the wall at some of the meetings and hearing for this. ;)

I think it is a good idea as well. I guess I didn't realize there was ever an issue with getting the necessary information, but I suppose maybe it is becoming more difficult. I do most of my own repairs but I would hate to be required to go to a dealer for repairs.
