I got a Weatherby 30-378 mag for them long shots on the fields and my little Marlin 357Mag Carbine for in the thick stuff and short shots

Whats your meat gun when it comes to deer?

If a gun kills people then I can blame a pen for my misspells?

270 Ruger MK2 stainless with Leopold vx2 3x9 has been my "go to"
for many years.  I have been really happy with my 300 Weatherby with a leopold 3x9 and that will be with me for this years run when I am flying in and only can bring one. I've spent a lot of range time with it and it will be leading the charge this year on all trips. For slug zones I have a single shot 12gauge H&R that while it is ported kicks like a mule, the stepkids call it "the crippler" :o

Big fish Guy, go to MidwayUSA.com for your ammo needs, this is what they had in stock just now when I checked their site. DB

870 w/ the rifled slug barrel.  Fiber optic sights.  Shoot the 3" Remington Copper Solids, Magnums.  Accurate as hell and packs LOTS of Kenetic energy.  Quite a wallup! ;D
Never have missed with that gun.

Winchester 30-30 with iron sights.  The guns not pretty, but the size of it makes it an ideal brush gun and it has dropped every deer I've hit in there tracks.

OL PUTZ uses A Savage wespoint bolt action
.30-.30 with A redfield 2 - 3/4 power scope and shells no older than 10 years old cuz I have had the old ones go click, so I had to break down and buy new shells and now I just shoot em in the head and save the meat for the table and not the schmuts bucket.
Yup it's A long walk to the putz stand, it must take me 5 minutes.
