OK I didn't hear about this from the DNR but a few landowners adjacect to WPA's. For a couple yrs now around here the DNR has been cutting down trees on WPA land all but the mature oaks. I wondered why and have recently found out. Stocking of prarie chickens and sharptails, bothof which used to inhabit this area but are non existent now and have been since I was born. Has anyone else heard or seen of this happening in their area.
