anyone interested in a good deal on a underwater camera... Frankies in Chisago has the Marcum 460 and 560 cameras.  Brad got some and he is selling them at a good price.  $300 for the marcum 460, and $400 for the 560.  These are the Marcum cameras that the camera pans around, you don't have to twist the cable.  Not sure why marcum stopped using that tech...
Anyway, if you are in the market, and are in the Chisago area, stop in at Frankie's and pick up one of these cameras.  It can be a xmas present to yourself.

Be careful purchasing them.....they are discontinued items...trust me, owned both....Marcum doesn't stand by them and doesn't have parts for them.

Unless things have changed since last ice season.

I also had the first Marcum underwater camera, as did my cousin, and we have never had issues.  I think he still uses his.  I sold mine because it was just another ten pounds or so i did not feel like towing around!

Mine "just went bad" Was the 460. Checked with Marcum and they said "sorry dude" can't do anything about it. Sat on that for a month (I only used it maybe 5x) and said to heck with it and took it back to Gander (where I purchased it) and they said they would replace it. They  only had 1 560 at that time, so they replaced with that (awesome CS I'll tell you..free upgrade)

Got the 560, 1st time out, acted funky...said enough of this and took it back and got an X2 instead.

No 10 foot pole for me

Ganders good for that, great customer service.

I've had good luck with the cheapo underwater cameras, got a first gen one, and it works mint.

Merry Xmas to All!

Heading up North, see how the snow screwed the ice.

I have used the Aquavu SRTs and got an Aquavu Fish TV which I thought were pretty good...until my buddy sat down next to me in the fish house and set his Cabela's (Anglers Choice I think) down next to me.  It was much much clearer and worked a lot longer into sunset...right up to dark in fact.  Cabela's has them on sale for $139.99...great quality and a very low price.  I sold my Aquavu the other day and ordered two from Cabela's that should be here tomorrow as I also put my dad's Aquavu up for sale.

What is the story with Marcum? I went to the web site and it looks to me like they actually took a step back with the camera technology. The flat screen is cool, but my old VS500 has more features than the new cameras.
