Man it was nice to finally make it on the river again. Been a long time and I missed it a ton! A huge thanks to River Dan for getting me on the water again.

We hit the water about 6 AM for a short but cold ride. Didn't bother me at all though. Got to the spot and each put down a couple of rods with lindy rigs on them. Didn't take long and Ol' Dan has a nice 18" eye in the boat. That was followed up by a 16" sauger on my end. After that it got tough. Dan snagged a carp. We each left our 8'3" rods down as lindy dead sticks and went to some jigging. Seemed all the bites though were happening on the dead sticks. They would smack it and then they were gone. We missed a lot of fish today. I had two very nice keepers up to the boat that came off. We went from jigging back to rigging and then to using blades and back to rigging. The bites were tough but we managed some keepers to come home with and quite a few shorties.

Spoke to Dean at Evertt's before and after fishing and the reports were the bite was very light and not many catching them. It had changed up over the last week.

All in all a very good day on the water. Company was good, fishing was good and the weather was nice for this time of year.
Friends are like buttcheeks..........crap might separate them, but they come together in the end.
