Shut down Liriano for the season...  Two straight starts with pain in the arm area (they say it's muscle related).  Shut him down and hope you can stay in he race with out him.

I hope they will get Liriano back, healthy by the end of the year.  Hopefully the Twins can stay in that wild card race without that big left-handed stud!  If they do, and he comes back healthy for the playoff's, the Twins could go make a run at the world series.  Yes, I am a dreamer....but wouldn't that be great?

If we get in the playoffs and Liriano is healthy, we have as good of a chance to win the world series as anyone.  Our real problem is starters number 4 and 5 which is not that big of a deal in the playoffs.  If our rotation is set up right and we have Santana and Liriano pitching twice each we would be hard to beat in October.

I'm fine with you rubbing this in as much as you want.  I guarantee you though that I was not the only person in this state that gave up on them earlier in the year.

you are correct. I believe there may have even been a few of those doubters on the twins roster too, but they never quit trying.
these guys will go down in history as the example of never quit.
the icing on the cake would of course be a world championship ;)

home feild advantage is SOOOO SWEET  :)

I must admit I have to eat a bit of crow myself. It's funny they only led the division once this yr. and it happened to be on the last day. ;D ;D It's a good thought to be playing strong at the end of the yr. rather than the beginning
