Caught this trout today, looks like a brook trout to me, but I am not sure, (I almost never catch brook trout and the few I have caught are in the fall), can anyone identify this fish for sure. Also is the second a brown, looks different than all the browns I have caught, and I thought it was a brook trout but now am not sure

It is not a very popular or well known stream, so I don't want to say  ;), but the dnr says that  there are only browns there

I would say they are both browns. If you look at the second pic the tail seems to be chewed up a little bit which would lead me to believe they are stocked.

Some browns down here look like the fish you caught, and some don't. I think there are a few different strains of browns out there.

The brookies usually have worm-like mottling on the upper part of their back, and I don't see that in the pics.

Marry an outdoors woman. Then if you throw her out into the yard on a cold night, she can still survive.

I agree, they are both browns.  I usually ID brookies with the white/red fins.  I have noticed there are alot of differernt looks to the browns down here!
Looks like a very nice stream and secretive! ;)
NICE CATCHES!
