As I have to work the weekend I will be going to tonka on monday.  Mixing up between troling and chucking spinners in the shallows.

Hoping to head to Leech.  Not usually a good lake for opener, but will get out and cast smaller baits  Like Buckaboo and muskie candy spinners over weeds and near spawning grounds. However on opening walleye week I checked a few of my favorite weedbeds and with the warmer lake temps there were muskie on spots I usually dont see them on till late june.   Will probably try trolling some, which has been my most productive early tactic.  Plan to use Live target Yellow perch trolling which I picked up two of this winter..  If my buddies come up might try Little Wolf or Elk lake which are usually better early lakes.

How did everyone do?  I was skunked.  Did have 2 lazy follows in 3 hours of fishing.

gave up after 5 hours of not a single follow on waconia (still never boated a muskie) started to bass fish off of andersons reef and had a roughly 46-48 inch one come and slam my crankbait about 12 feet from my boat, hit and then gone, with my expensive crank

I had a 48 incher bite my spinner while fishing for pike. It was before season, so I got it in the craddle and released it without taking it out of the water.

I had a 50 plus give me a follow last Sunday, but didn't take it. Right up to boat side.....  :doah:
