I am hopeing to make it out on the lake either this thursday or friday for a late fathers day present for my father it will be my first time ever on the lake and I am looking for a little info about where to start I am looking at starting with some Smallmouth in the afternoon then try some walleyes in the evening I am planning on going out around the Garrison area not looking for your hot spot just general area on where to fish shallow deep rocks mud weeds??  I have a gps with  lake master chip and a good depthfinder but any friendly info would be much apreciated   


all weather permitting of course dont think to boat would do to good out there in strong winds

I don't fish smallies up there at all. I can tell you for me and what I've heard on boards, the rocks are still hot. I caught a lot on the rocks in about 20-30 FOW. Red hook on a lindy (8-12' snell) and a jumbo leech has been and still is the ticket. Lots of big fish and we limited it out keepers as well.

If you have strong winds, go to a side of the lake that the wind is coming from. Always areas to fish there. I usually don't go out of Garrison so not sure what's up that way. I go to the East Side. Agate Bay, Big Point, 3 Mile and 2 Mile have all been good to me.
Friends are like buttcheeks..........crap might separate them, but they come together in the end.
