Here is the Official Notice

What: Demonstration to Defeat Senator Dean Johnson
When: 10:30am to 2:30am, Saturday, Oct. 7 - rain or shine
Where: Sidewalk between Cub Foods & 1st Street in Willmar

Dear Sportsman:
Join our group, Sportsmen for Change, in a demonstration showing our unhappiness with Sen. Dean Johnson in the past legislative session and that "He has go to go!" in the Nov. 7 election.  We are having a demonstration on the public sidewalk between Cub Foods and 1st Street in Willmar on Saturday, Oct. 7 from 10:30am until 2:30pm.  Show up in your camo or blaze orange and help us send a message to the public that the rank and file sportsmen believe Dean has done us wrong. We will have pre-made signs and also blank white-board and markers if you want to make your own.

Please spread the word so when the local newspapers and radio reporters come to cover the event that we are in full force especially between the peak time of 11:00am to 12:30.   Just 4 months ago, Senator Johnson walked out on the greatest outdoor conservation bill to fund wetlands, habitat and clean water in our state's history. When we needed him to compromise on a good 3/16 Constitutionally Dedicated Outdoors Funding Bill during the legislative session he walked away without any effort to reach a compromise with the House. Even when pork-barrel Fine Arts, Museums & Public Broadcasting could have been areas that he could and should have removed from the bill, he favored the "Arts-Twin City" interests and turned his back on sportsmen in his role as leader of the Senate. We lost a 25-year plan for conservation funding because he and his Senate members walked away.  Now its time to hold Senate Majority Leader Dean Johnson accountable in the coming election. Help us show the public it's time for change!

Sincerely,
Kevin Auslund, Chair
