The daytime walleye bite slowed on the mud flats for a few days this past week due to an enormous hatch of giant mayflies that made their way to the surface.  The end of the week brought a west blow for 2 days which helped my clients fill their limits on Friday and Saturday.   Slip bobbers with leeches and trolling cranks was the ticket on the midsummer bite.

Good luck, be safe and we'll see you on the water!
