Got out today with a 15 MPH NW/W wind.  Went out from Hunters' Point/Nitti's Bar.  Caught a few slot fish right away dragging Lindy rigs across Backer Flat.  2 fish @ 20 1/2" and 1 @ 21.  Moved around a bit more and boated a 13" that we ended up keeping as it was hooked really deep.  Not proud of keeping a fish that size but it all tastes the same.  Really hung out around that area pretty much all day and then moved to the Boot.  We did catch more with 2 fish @ the 17 " range and 1 @ 19 1/2".

I would have had pictures but no memory card in the camera.  Oh well.

A good day on the Lake. Hoped the weather would've cooperated and stayed overcast and 'breezy' but none the less. Quite the rough ride in the a.m. across the lake........feeling it this morning. Probably the last trip for the year out to Mille Lacs, the time has come to start prepping the for the BEST time of the year..........DUCK SEASON! Painting decoys, touch up the boat and motor, clean the gun and look into fabbing a blind for the boat. :toast:
Going South......in a manner of speaking!

Thanks Gentlemen! I was suggested this site through a friend who is a member/hunting/fishing buddy......he goes by "Go Big Red!". I know I will enjoy this forum.
A little background on myself........Canadian born originally from Thunder Bay, Ont. Spent my whole life catching Walleye after Walleye, Smallies, Lakers, Rainbows, Speckles etc. and shooting 'at' Deer, Grouse, Sharptail, Spruce Hens, Rabbits and Moose. I was an Initial Attack Fire Ranger for 8 years and have a wealth of experience in many things 'outdoors'. Thanks again for the cordial welcome and we'll see on the screen and maybe in the field or on the water someday. :happy1:
