I know the deer #'s are up but a few of my friends, even one who hunts over bait in Wisconsin have not been seeing any or very few deer while out bow hunting. One thought I had was with the cold weather there not moving as much anticipating a long hard winter and conserving energy. so with less movement it's just taking place at night.
Normally where we all hunt we see lot's of deer.

Am I just thinking to hard about this ?
What are some of you experiencing or thoughts about this ?

           Thanks

I see deer all over the place. Live ones, and dead ones.

I frequently drive from Duluth to Grand Marais, Ely, Grand Rapids, Brainerd, Minong, Ashland. I see tons of them.

If you quit smoking or chewing tobacco on the stand they will usually come closer.

i saw 11 from hill city to remer last weekend... and those are the ones i saw. I am sure I missed some as I was driving and dozing.  seeing one of those suckers will perk you up for a few miles though.
If a gun kills people then I can blame a pen for my misspells?

We have been seeing them in Grand Rapids but it has slowed as of late.  My dad has been up there consistently and he says the ones he has been seeing are Does with Bucks close (to their) behind.  ;D

8 More days till I leave...  :o

Deer are thick. We seen close to a hundred deer on our way home from the cabin last night.

Get way from the lake country areas where more people are and out in the less taraveled areas of the north and the deer are unbelievable. My cabin yard and my buds yard where he lives where full of dung and they were laying in the fields and grazing in the middle of the day.

and I don't even hunt my 20acers at the cabin for deer, should but don't.
