5-6 bs. A length measurement would help figure weight.

Without a length measurement I would say 21-22 inches and close to 6lbs.  It is certainly big enough to be close for the big bass in the 2010 challenge.  You will have to enter next year. :happy1:

Here is another one for the experts.  This is my mother and she is not happy about having her pic posted but this was caught on opening day of bass 2009.  I saw the pic before it was cropped and knew it was big.  I think braggin trophy big.  My mom and sister were crappie fishing at the time with some of my crappie lures.  There is not trick photography here.  That fish is hanging straight down and compare the knuckles to the length of the fish.  I am still sick about not being there because they did not know what they had.  This fish was released after this casual photo.   I wish the pic was not cropped but that is all we have left.  Guess your best on this but I would put it at close to seven.

Whiteoak, I would put your bass somewhere around 5lbs 10oz, a fat 20 inches, VERY NICE FISH!!!

Scott, I would say 6lbs 5oz.... 21 inches.  That is a HOG!

It is too bad the pic was cropped and zoomed.  The original pic was from across the pontoon and you could get a perspective of the length.  Like I said I wish I would have been there because we would have had a length and a girth.  They were crappie fishing so this one just got in the way.

first find out how long her digit measures and then on the photo use stick to mark the length of her index finger from the web where it meets her palm to her first knuckle. Then run it down the length of that 18" Bass.

Thats a nice fish also.... gotta remember though, and Ken is hinting on this.... when the hand/fist that is holding onto the fish is as big or bigger than the persons head/face, looks can be decieving.... that means the fish is being held out away from the body..... it makes a fish look that much bigger. :reporter;  Me and my buddies call it the Al Linder method of fish photography..... done correctly, you can make a 1-3lb fish look like a mounter pretty near... ;)  not to take away from her fish, but the way she is holding it out is making it look much larger than it really is... unless your mom is a really tall gal, like 6-7ft tall, that may be a 5lb(+?) bass... not bad though!

I agree.  The problem is this was a digital pic.  This fish was caught 2 years ago and the only view I saw was after the original printed pic.  I said earlier that my sister cropped and zoomed it and now I get a better view.  The original looked like the Linder's veiw.  I could not believe the fish was not measured.  It looked like a 7lb bass.  I posted the the pick right after I got It and did not  spend the time to really look at it.  I would estimate-approx 18 inches as Ken said.  It just goes to show you can't score a pic real well unless it is on the tape.   I'm glad I posted it because I no know that the casual release was warranted.    ;D ;D
