I am putting this here, on the IBOT forum, cause - "If you ain't an IBOT, you ain't sh*t"! ;D ;D ;D?

In other words, I am looking for people with the nards to get'er done!

I propose (being that I am not going to be able to spend the winter on URL :'() to put together one very good weekend of potential fish slaying adventure!? If you are interested, pay close attention!

My plan is to gather a few, if not a bunch, of not so light hearted fishermen (and women) to do a weekend of trophy Slab and Walleye Hunting.? This can be done fairly economically and quite successfully if there are a few interested in some high (and I am talking HIGH ;D) adventure.?

I am thinking some time in either late January or early to mid February.? We can grab a couple of cabins at Big Bog State Rec Area on a Thursday or Friday afternoon and Fish the north end of URL in the evening(s) for some slabs.? And then Saturday morning take portables and snowmachines and head for a spot I know on the south end of the Angle (LOW) for some HAWGS!? I Sh*t you not, this place I speak of holds some BIG fish!

I offer no guarantees other than a good time and a fabulous adventure.? But....... the potential is there for some really great fishing and memories to last a life time.?

At the present time I have 4 sleds (2 that are 2 up) at my disposal, in case anyone is in need of a ride.

What do you say folks?? Anyone care to live a little?  Lets Roll!

Sounds like it would be a lot of fun, but I am yet another one with out a snow machine. I have a trailer to carry one though. ;D?

When are you going to clamp Mayfly?

Cool :).

I am shy on trailers and only have one doublewide.  Do you guys have portables that can be towed behind a sled?

I'd have to get a cover for mine. Do the machines have a hitch? Also, how are augers transported?

Two of the sleds have hitches on them already and I have hitches that need to be put on the ones that don't.? They are early 90's 340 Sport Indy's.? Kinda of little, but they'll get you there and back no problem.

I haul my auger inside my fish house, but really would like to construct some kind of rack to mount it on my machine instead.? My fish house is a 4 man Polar Sport.? It is just perfect for 2 guys.? I can put a ton of stuff in it and fly down the lake at 50 or so if needed.? ?;D

There is a groomed trail almost all the way there so it does not take long to get there once you are moving.? We will take off from Springsteel Point north of Warroad.

This will be a good time. 8)

i have a big portable that could hold two guys that goes on a homemade sled that would pull easy behind a snowmobile.
I would be interested in this.  I don't have a snowmobile though...but could maybe ride shotgun?

Sounds good Bob. I suppose not everyone needs to bring an auger, but I'd have to strap/tie mine down somehow if I brought mine. Shouldn't be a problem.
I've got the universal hitch for my Fish Trap Pro, that I never put on. Will this work?

BFG - 2 of my sleds are 2 up so ridding shotgun would work okay.? (I may possibly be w/o one of the 2ups if the details of my divorce are hammered out by then, but I doubt it.? The trial is in mid November and I am sure the Judge will take his full 90 days to give us his decision.)

Joe - I do believe it would be foolish to bring a bunch of augers, but I also believe it would be foolish to only bring one. :)

We have time to get this one planned out very well.? So far none of the cabins are reserved for January or February yet (unreal hey?).? I will keep an eye on them and if they start to fill up we will have to nail down a weekend for this and get it booked.? They are a heck of a deal at about $50 a night.? We can put 4 guys to a cabin and everyone can have his own bed.? There is room for cots too.

Hey can we get on them tullibee, I could use a mess of them for smoking

Bob - I just found this thread.? I'd be up for it as long as it wasn't in January, my busiest month of the year.? Don't let that deter you if January is best for eveyone else.? You know we can always catch up later.
My initial response was to sue her for defamation of character, but then I realized that I had no character.

Sorry I have not checked in lately guys.? My kids and the custody battle have taken all of my energy lately.? I have been taking a peak at the forums off and on, but have not had the brain space available to do any posting.

Harold - The thought of having you along makes it a no brainer!? That way if the fishing is not so good at least we'll all have something to laugh about .? ? We will go in February.? ?The Doctor has spoken.

The options for me are the weekends of Feb 9th and Feb 23rd.? Let's hear it guys.? What works best for most?? We do not need to act real soon as all of the cabins are still reservable, but I would like to get them locked in b4 to long.? I would say hopefully within the next 2 weeks.

FYI -  After work I'll be off line probably for the most of the time until next Friday.  The fambly and I are off to WI to kill some small game. ;D

I will stop by the local Library once or twice to check email and such though.

Sorry I have not been around lately guys.  I am up to my ears in family stuff.

How about 2/23 for our adventure date?  The other weekend I could go would be 2/9.  I would rather go later than sooner.

later - Doc
