We just got the results back from the lab in texas.  Does anybody want to guess her age.  She weighed 138 pounds dressed. Here are a couple of pictures.

Make your first shot count, it might be the only one you get.

We could always tell who she was because her fawn has a double throat patch.  I will post her known age in a couple of days.

im saying 3 1/2 with 2 fawns and 4 1/2 with 1

the older the doe the less likely they are to have twins

Hunting is not life and death. It is more important than that.

I'll go with 4.5 mostly by weight.

I guessed 5.5 before she shot her because of the history with her.  She was a resident doe on our land.  You could almost set your watch to her the last 3 years on the mineral licks.  Sad to see her go but her fawns are still on the land and hopefully Double Patch will now stay close to home with his mother gone.  I will let Kid #1 tell you the age.

I'll go with 4.5 mostly by weight.
We also aged the doe that I shot that weight 140.  She looked older and we guessed 5 plus with her and she was 5.5.
Anything that is free is worth saving up for.

I would say 4.5 to 5.5 based on the belly sag in the side view.  Great deer!

She was 4.5 years old.  We sent 2 front teeth to http://www.deerage.com/  She will be missed because we have tons of pics of her and her fawns.  This year my goal is a big buck.  I will be hunting more with my new bow and trying a lot of new spots.  Dad says that we will be hunting the wind and try not to hunt out of the same stand location more than once.
