I've also used the Navionics app, but for android. I've used it both open water and this year for ice fishing. It's not 100% accurate, but it gives you a good general idea of areas to target, depths, structure, ect.. Overall I really like using it, but it does drain the battery fast, so make sure you close the program once you get set up.
