Took Kid#1 fishing on a small carry in lake.  Had a great time and brought the camera this time. Much better pics this time. She lost a 10 pound pike at the boat.


Anything that is free is worth saving up for.

Very nice.  I also usually release the big ones at the boat.  I don't know if I'd want to be in a canoe with a big trashing pike.  Yikes.

Actually fishing in a canoe with my daughter is pretty easy.  She stays calm and I have not felt like we were going to tip over yet.   
A photo op would have been great with the big pike but we will always have the memory.
Anything that is free is worth saving up for.
