Fished with a cool guy yesterday

I had the good fortune to go fishing with a cool guy from Stanchfield yesterday. Gorgeous day but fishing was a little slow. Combined we caught 3 bass. Sadly for me all the fish were caught by the cool guy. Had a blast anyway.
We saw numerous big pike, well actually I didn't see many of them but the cool guy did. He would point them out to me at exactly at the moment the the sun was reflecting off the water directly into my eyes. But the big pike did NOT seem interested in eating our baits. Oh well. Terrific day on the water. Thanks HD.

By the way I want to add, this is the smallest of the 3 fish caught by my guide but the other 2 were released so quickly I was not able to get a photo.

It was a great time, you missed out.... I'm sure we'll get together for some hard water fishing. Cause, now, the boat is being put away for the season. Time to hunt! I did go to a different lake today, thinking that it was just a fluke that the pike weren't bitting. But, nope, this lake was the same. Dave boated 1 bass, and I boated 4. Several slow follows by the pike...but they were just not interested. Water temp on this lake was 51 and the lake we fished on Saturday the temp was 52-53

And... I did get my new shirt!  ....just not my hat (cough...cough...cough...)
