How come two of these deer have black on their tails while the other one is the same color as the rest of its coat?

Something to do with age or is this one of those things that varies from animal to animal?

Two are blacktail deer and one is a whitetail.
Kinda the same answer to the question of why when geese fly in a vee one side is most always longer. The answer to that is there are more geese on that side.
