I've always hear and read that you don't want to use a full choke.

doesn't it "suggest" one on the side of the slug box?

im not much of a slug wiz but i thought you couldnt use slugs with a choke? thought thats why they sell slug barrels. wanted to try it once and talked to a gunsmith he told me that with my full choke barrel the end would pull an elmer fud/ bugs bunny exploded barrel.

my wife said it.... im OFFICIALLY ADDICTED to MNO!!

They say use the improved because with mod or full you get to much back pressure and it could bulge the end of the barrel.

+1 with what Hunter2 said.  However my dad used a mossberg 500 for a decade or more with a 30 inch barrel full choke and then I used it for a year before a new 870 at age 13 with zero problems.

I've shot 1000's of slugs out of my 9478 (Full Choke) No issues.

Than again I'll shot cut shells out of it too. I may just be crazy :happybounce:
