You think you like catching fish?

Jeff “Kolo” Kolodzinski, who is marketing director for Frabill, a maker of fishing gear, caught 2,143 fish in 24 hours last summer to put himself in the Guinness World Records book.

According to a news release from Frabill, Kolodzinski caught the fish on July 30-31 from the dock of Maynard’s Restaurant on Lake Minnetonka, in Excelsior, Minn.

Figure it out. That’s almost 90 fish per hour, an average of 1.5 per minute.

The fishing feat was witnessed by other Frabill employees and a crew from “Fishing for Life,” a non-profit organization dedicated to serving youth through organized fishing programs. The event was videotaped to meet the Guinness standards.

“The bulk of the booty was made up of sunfish and crappies, but the occasional rogue largemouth bass and northern pike also added to the tally,” according to the news release. .”Sometimes, a curious muskie would approach, too, scattering Kolo’s fish until the coast was clear.”
