Wondering if anyone has any experience fishing this lake .....pointers/hints would be helpful. I have a map and have fished it a couple times before but looking for some more insight. Thanks.

I have never personally had experience there. I know its extremely weedy and seems very shallow. I just remember it being that way when I use to go swimming there on the west side of the lake when I was a kid. I also remember ALOT of small panfish.  I dont recall any of my old buddies from becker going out there back in highschool either.  But who knows it might hold some decent panfish.  I have always wondered about that lake also because I never hear of people fishing it...

In general most fish you catch there will be small.  I think the biggest northern we pulled out of there was around 24".  Most are hammer handles.

If you go out from the landing about 1/2 way across the lake and 50 yards left, I've had good luck getting northerns.  Should be about 17' of water.  Sorry, I don't have gps coordinates for you.  There's also a deeper hole somewhere in the NE corner about 100 yards off the north shore maybe.

I'm sure the locals will be out there so you'll get a good idea of where the fish are.

Got out and caught a ton of fish including 3 crappies ranging from 8-1/2 to 11" right when we got there. Then it was sunnies til the cows come home....all small. Caught one northern that wasn't even big enough to set the flag, never new it was even there til we checked the line. A good time and highly recommend it for the kids. It was impossible not to catch fish....silly.
