Looking for one or two shooters for trap team in North Metro area.

My team needs two shooters for this summers league, we shoot at Beaverbrook sportsmans club every Tuesday night at 6 PM till were done.
Warm ups start on the last tuesday of March, league starts first tuesday of April and we shoot for 20 weeks.

Cost is $9 a week plus your shells and food if you want to eat there.

I put together a team of fun people to shoot with, we joke around and will toss an empty hull at you once in a while after you miss one,we are usually in B class in the middle of the pack but we have won both A class and B class in past years so we do shoot to win.

how do you guys do it... shoot a practice then the league round .. or just the league round? or do you do 2 every other week?

The league shoots every week,one round per week with practice optional.
My team usualy just shoots our league round then order burgers and socialize for half an hour or so.

We used to shoot a round of practice first then shoot the league round but when the economy crashed we cut back to save some cash.

I would like the team to shoot more but I also want to keep them together shooting each week.

i hear ya on the economy. i think if the boys are pulling the sporting team back together i'm gonna try my luck with them this year.. we usually shot 2 rounds once a month there on the weekend. and this year the state sporting championship is there.. so maybe I can get an advantage? doubt it, but I need to tell myself that

Shooting is 80% mental,10% skill and 10% luck so tell your self your the best shot out there and no one can beat you.
Helps to not think about any one else or how they are shooting as well.

one thing that works well for me is to not watch the shooters in front of me. different techniques different prefered break points, it all messes with your noodle come trigger time. I know where I like to break em so why watch the guy before me

the only reason to watch the guy ahead is to try to pick up chips and stuff. but otherwise I don't watch for technique

yep, i liked to always watch the bird fly and vision where I would pull the trigger if it was my bird.

All so it will help your team if the puller misses the chip and calls a loss, you can corect them right away.

But I do find it helps me to invision each bird as mine and where I would pull the trigger.

Plus I have heard it hel[ps your eyes stay focused on the distance the birds are peaking at on the arch.
