At a state Senate hearing Monday, legislators, the DNR and a fishing guide voiced opposition to moving up the fishing opener this year by a week.

Just open it up all year like ND and SD!! :bonk:  But to be more biologically friendly make it legal to keep only 18" walleye and smaller during April.  Then the netter's will have to watch out for motorboats tearing up their nets... :rotflmao:
